Melinda Travis is the CEO of PRO Sports Communications, an LA-based PR firm serving clients who are using sport as a platform for social change. A sports communications veteran, Travis has experience on both sides of the media equation, as a sports reporter and PR professional. With previous posts in the NBA and MLB, Travis has worked with a variety of organizations and athletes at the professional, Olympic and collegiate levels. She left the agency world 11 years ago to start her own firm and is a frequent industry speaker for organizations including: Association for Women in Sports Media, Beverly Hills Bar Association, Sports Lawyers Association, Chapman University, UCLA, Fordham University, Variety Sports & Entertainment Conference and others. She is also a mother of two.
